Improvisation & Agility – Part of Resilience-Training for Companies:
Resilienz meets Improvisation
Key Competencies
Improvisation and agility are not stand-alone training formats on this page – they are key competencies that I integrate into my resilience training for companies. In this way, you not only develop inner strength but also the ability to respond to change with greater flexibility and composure.
What does agility mean?
Agility refers to the ability of individuals and organisations to adapt to frequently changing conditions and to respond flexibly to unforeseen events and new demands. Change is not met merely reactively, but proactively.
What does improvisation mean?
Improvisation means creating or performing something spontaneously, without prior preparation. It is also understood as the spontaneous, practical use of creativity to solve emerging problems (source: Wikipedia).
-> Agility helps teams plan flexibly and adapt processes (for example, through agile methods in project management). Improvisation enables them to find solutions spontaneously when unexpected situations arise.
Why improvisation & agility in resilience training?
In today’s dynamic world 4.0, conditions are constantly and unexpectedly changing – for example due to new technologies, market demands, political decision-makers or organisational restructuring.
A purely strategic response is often not enough. People and teams need the ability to act spontaneously, courageously and constructively.
That is why elements of improvisation and agility-based methods form an integral part of my resilience training for companies. They strengthen flexibility, reduce stress and encourage solution-focused thinking within teams and among leaders.
How improvisation is integrated in practice
Within the resilience training, you will learn, for example, to:
- handle situations constructively without full preparation
- develop creative solutions spontaneously
- deal confidently with uncertainty
- strengthen your composure, even when not everything can be planned
These competencies are valuable not only in a professional context but in life as a whole – particularly when facing change, uncertainty and complex challenges.
Who is it relevant for?
Improvisation & agility are particularly relevant for:
- leaders who wish to make flexible decisions and guide their teams safely through change
- teams who want to strengthen collaboration and creative problem-solving
- organisations aiming to develop their resilience sustainably
-> Improvisation & agility are an integral part of the resilience training, not a separate product.
