I’m starting in English before I then go on in German.
The Coronavirus, as it is, is scary enough. Why don’t you make the best of the situation and practise your English? Here are some tips for you: Grammarly is a great App you can use to practise your English. It is a writing assistant that is free to install. You write something in English, e.g. emails, documents, letters etc. and have it checked by Grammarly. In fact, I’m using it myself right now to see how it’s working. It’s really interesting. When I make a mistake to check it, I get an explanation and how to write it better.
I’ve got this tip from the current issue of the Spotlight magazine (3-2020) and even the author of the article, a native speaker, uses it herself. And not only spelling mistakes are checked. It also highlights punctuation mistakes and confusing sentences, also too long sentences (something I keep telling my students: a shorter sentence is often better:-).

In der aktuellen Spotlight Ausgabe (3-2020) findet ihr noch weitere, sehr gute Tipps. Ihr könnt sie auch online bestellen, das spart euch den Weg nach draußen. (Normalerweise würde ich euch immer empfehlen, nach draußen zu gehen. Was für verrückte Zeiten.)
Ich selbst empfehle unseren Kunden auch gerne „BBC Learning English“. Sie erklären Interessantes, z.B. den Unterschied zwischen „hear“ und „listen“ oder geben in einem 6-Minuten grammar audio Beitrag eine Erklärung zum „present continuous & present simple“. Auf Wunsch kann auch ein transcript (Abschrift) heruntergeladen werden. Diese Erklär-Audios + transcripts gibt es auch für andere Grammatik-Schwerpunkte.
Und es gibt Audio-Beiträge, um idioms (Redewendungen) zu erklären. Der geschriebene Text steht unmittelbar darunter.
